With grief choking her voice, and tears in her eyes,
She fell on Hussain’s grave and cried:
“Oh brother, oh hussain
You left me with so much pain
Oh you who died of thirst
Today I came to complain”
“oh brother, oh hussain,
I came back today with the orphans you left in my care,
Here’s Sukayna mourning you and spreading her hair,
But where is ruqaya have you wondered where?
Forgive me brother; she died in Shaam we left her there,
She died on your head, your separation she couldn’t bear,
“oh brother oh hussain
Oh the one who was left with no shroud
as soon as you fell onto the ground,
they took our veils off when Abbas wasn’t around
Yazide’s soldiers marched onto your camp
Your daughters were left bare-headed with no wrap
Sukayna your daughter they dared to slap
Her earings were pulled off her ears
Her eyes were shedding tears upon tears
Her small heart was in a great fear,
O brother hussain,
Your enemies never stopped at that point
Your enemies set fire to your tents
They terrified your ladies,
and your children
Were running from tent to tent,
Trying to escape the burning flames,
Oh brother hussain I have so much to tell you,
About your son zianul Abideen my nephew,
They clasped his feet together and hand,
They made him walk barefoot on the hot sand,
They made us pass through your butchered bodies parts,
Your son Zainul Abideen’s soul was about to depart,
:
Everyone came back to the land of Karbala, on the day of Arba'een.. to mourn their lost ones,
Here’s Ramla on Al Qasims grave,
And there is Rabab on Ali Al-Asghar’s..
and sukayna on her uncle’s Abbas..
Sukayna: “O uncle Abbas come back! Come back! I don’t want water no more.. I beg you come back!
Everyone is weeping at the grave of their loved ones they had lost in Karbala,
:
Even Zahra, she came from Madina with her broken rib On the day of Arba'een..
To morun the crushed ribs of imam Hussain..
